My Life in a Camerashell: December 2005

Last Wednesday was the perfect day off. I went snowboarding with Charles(Veronikas friend) all day. Greg and his brother rode with us for a couple of hours as well. Then they took off to do the Minturn Mile.....we stayed in Vail and enjoyed all of the powder in the Game Creek Trees.....

We met up with everyone at the Saloon in Minturn.....

and had a couple of drinks.....

went straight into town that night and ate some pizza....i ended up staying out in my snowboarding gear until midnight, met up with Ian and Spade at the Club for a couple of hours.....

Game Creek Club-
So being a Concierge has its perks for sure: We all drove up to the top of Beaver Creek where a sleigh pulled by a snowcat awaited us.....freezing and snowing we were whisked away on a 17 minute open air sleigh ride up to a beautiful log cabin restaurant. Live music , 2 bottles of red wine, a 5 course meal, and wonderful company of course---it was a great evening. The ride down was a lot warmer...mmmm...did the wine help that?

Snow....snow...and more snow..... it just has not stopped snowing this month~ what an incredible start to winter!
Yes, Veronika went and did it---she bought Baci a turtle neck sweater....oh my god.....but he does look very handsome doesn't he:)

Off to go snowboarding....i still need to get my sister up on the mountain with me.

This past week has consisted of a lot of eating.....since i am a concierge, all of the restaurants offered free dinners for myself and a guest----but they had to be used before Dec. 16th!!! Veronika, Jason, Felipe and I went out to Lord Gore for dinner and it was fabulous....

Then I took the girls out for dinner at Mezzaluna---the cook came out and drank a glass of wine with us and treated us to a 5 course dinner....mmmmmm

I went snowmobiling and dogsledding for free as well. this is the view from up above at Camp Hale....It was -20 up there!!!!!!

Happy 23rd Birthday Veronika.....I took her out to La Tour.....where we somehow ate everything in site...surprise surprise....

then it was off to the Sandbar for a strawberry marg.....

Kath and I went to dinner last week at the Larkspur......it is so good to have her up here.......

yes, we ate three desserts.....

So it has not stopped snowing in days and the mountain is incredible......just 2 inches away from breaking the Vail record of snowfall this early in the season.....
Last Wednesday I went riding with Grego, Aaron, and Ruthie-a colorado college day and the snow was so sick. Powder up to your upper thighs and the trees were amazing!!!
